For being awarded the Richard Jennings Shield 2008-2009 |

This shield is presented at the AGM for the Scout who has contributed the most to scouting during the past year. Maria is the first girl at 7th Ashford to have received this award. Richard Jennings was a life long supporter of the group and in the later years was a trustee. His son Paul Jennings was one of the first Queen Scouts at 7th Ashford. Richard or "Dick" as he was known lived on a smallholding in Clockhouse Lane, Ashford. For years he donated a fresh Turkey as the main raffle prize at the Groups Christmas Fayre. |
